    I loved hearing your stories of charity crafting and learning more about Heidi’s red baby hats! As someone who has both led and participated in charity crafting projects, I would add please pretty please follow directions! It is no fun to have to make extra correctly sized squares for a group blanket or figure out what to do with handwash-only items when you asked for machine washable!
    In addition to the projects you listed, there is the Red Scarf Project, which gives scarves and care packages to foster children who have entered college, and Phoenix-based fiber artist Ann Morton who has done several public art projects with a charity component (Look up Ground Cover! I knit a blanket for that and it was so cool!)
